"I believe the greatest gains over the four years are increased self-confidence and the enhancement of comprehensive abilities. Engaging with diverse faculty and peers cultivated my critical thinking and an inclusive mindset, making me understand that every experience can become a key catalyst for future growth.

BNBU's curriculum structure and training model, similar to those of overseas universities, provided me with opportunities during my undergraduate studies to simulate various scenarios likely encountered in future society and the workplace. These include presentations, resolving intra-team disagreements, handling unexpected events, etc. This significantly improved my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Furthermore, BNBU highly encourages interaction between teachers and students. This allowed me to connect with many excellent professors and gain valuable advice regarding future development from their diverse experiential perspectives. During classroom discussions, professors always encouraged students to express diverse viewpoints and respected these differences. This not only honed my critical thinking skills but also taught me how to accept and respect differing opinions. I believe these are abilities and invaluable assets that will accompany me throughout my life.

Finally, I would like to say: never underestimate any of your experiences, as they may play an unexpected role in the future. EVERYTHING COUNTS!"

"Initially, I perceived Management of Human Resource as a discipline focused primarily on communication and administration. However, as I delved deeper into the specialized curriculum, I discovered its scope far exceeded my expectations. From Applied Social Psychology in Organizations to Predictive HR Analytics, and from Labor Law to Cross-cultural Communication and Management, each course revealed the multi-dimensional value of HR.

This led me to realize that HR is not merely an experience-driven field but a professional domain requiring a combination of technical and managerial expertise. Particularly, two research experiences highlighted for me the potential of AI technology in the HR field, strengthening my resolve to specialize in the intersection of human resources and technology. Internship experiences further made me aware that the value of talent management extends beyond recruitment and interviewing; it lies in helping both organizations and individuals achieve mutual success. Therefore, I hope to continue my advanced studies in this field and explore more scientific and efficient approaches to talent management.

During some specialized courses, I occasionally felt puzzled about how to apply theoretical knowledge to specific contexts. Fortunately, the instructors were meticulous and responsible, helping us concretize abstract concepts. Moreover, faculty and department teachers provided extensive support both in and out of class, whether by answering questions, sharing internship resources, or inviting industry experts for lectures. This made me feel the strong resource support from the college and the dedication of the mentors.

Finally, I would like to share a quote I particularly like with my junior fellow students: 'The challenge appears precisely because you have the capacity to overcome it.' University is a process of self-exploration and discovering one's interests. I hope that during their undergraduate studies, junior students can actively participate in practical experiences, broaden their horizons, bravely try new things, dare to challenge themselves, continuously learn, and discover their genuine interests and passions."

"The most significant changes during my four years at BNBU were the improvement in my English proficiency and my teamwork skills, both of which are particularly crucial for studying abroad. First, this is attributed to BNBU's full English-medium instruction. Second, the frequent group projects and numerous opportunities to participate in business competitions provided excellent training opportunities.

Furthermore, unlike high school, university greatly hones one's management skills, especially in terms of personal time management. While I acknowledge that the academic workload at BNBU can be intense at times, it doesn't prevent us from arranging our time reasonably—determining what should be done and what we want to do at different times. You can engage in fitness activities, travel, obtain certifications, pursue internships, participate in social activities, and anything else you find meaningful. Over four years, I have become more disciplined and better at managing my time, striving to become a better version of myself. While the theoretical knowledge gained in university is undoubtedly important, what is even more significant is the transformation and broadening of one's horizons, cognition, mindset, as well as access to resources and networks. These will serve as stepping stones when entering society.

From the perspective of applying for overseas postgraduate studies, firstly, we are already accustomed to full English-medium classrooms. Also, because we follow an educational model similar to that of Hong Kong for four years, we might adapt faster than others to overseas classroom environments. Secondly, our university is ranked highly on the application lists of many top 100 QS-ranked universities, a classic example being UCL. Therefore, applying for postgraduate studies abroad from our university inherently carries many unseen advantages.

I also took many excellent Whole Person Education (WPE) courses during my first and second years. The most memorable was the Dragon Boat course, which is very characteristic of Guangdong province, as I may never have the chance to experience it again after leaving the region. In summary, I cherish my four years immensely.

"Reflecting on my four-year undergraduate journey, the liberal arts education at BNBU has not only facilitated my academic achievements but also fostered my holistic development in moral character, interpersonal skills, and innovative thinking. This educational philosophy taught me to approach issues from diverse perspectives and cultivated my ability to conduct comprehensive and in-depth analysis. During my studies at BNBU, I underwent a transformation from immaturity to maturity. I learned to think independently, dare to challenge authority, and have the courage to take responsibility. Simultaneously, I gained greater clarity regarding my career path and life goals, feeling confident and hopeful about the future.

The Management of Human Resource programme at BNBU emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, equipping us with solid professional knowledge and rich practical experience. Through systematic coursework and participation in practical projects, I gained an in-depth understanding of various aspects of HR management and mastered effective management techniques and methods. This has laid a solid foundation for my future career. BNBU's unique competitiveness also lies in its international perspective and forward-thinking educational philosophy. This has provided me with a broader vision and deeper insights within the field of HR management. I believe this will serve as a strong competitive advantage in my future professional endeavors."

“I decided early on to pursue both a master’s and a doctoral degree, hoping to master more research methodologies, refine my research focus, and produce forward-looking academic papers to contribute to the field. Being admitted to the fully-funded direct PhD program at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, was largely due to my passion for research and my fondness for academic writing. I set clear goals for myself and gradually worked on improving my weaknesses to bridge the gap between where I was and where I aimed to be. From my first year of undergraduate studies, I began preparing for future graduate applications—exploring my genuine interests through elective courses and extensive reading of books and academic literature. In my second year, I joined several faculty-led research groups through interviews, gaining hands-on research experience while continually delving deeper into the literature to further define my research interests.”

"Compared with traditional universities in China, the four years of full English-medium instruction and liberal arts education at BNBU have equipped us with a more open and global perspective, as well as strong English communication and collaboration skills. Firstly, BNBU offers a comprehensive, engaging, and dynamic English curriculum that encourages students to actively express themselves in English, significantly enhancing their spoken language abilities. It was only when I pursued postgraduate studies and internships in Singapore that I truly realized the profound impact of the numerous presentations and speeches I had delivered at BNBU.

On the other hand, with Chinese enterprises now vigorously expanding overseas—especially giants in the internet, e-commerce, pan-entertainment, and gaming industries actively exploring new growth opportunities abroad—the demand for globally competent talent continues to rise. This presents excellent career prospects for us, the graduates of BNBU. I am also fortunate to have successfully received an offer for an international role at a leading gaming company during the 2024 autumn recruitment cycle."

In my four years of University, I won Feng Shenjun's national conditions and Sinology scholarship and Xu Jialu's whole person education scholarship. BNBU provides students with eastern and Western cultural wisdom and freedom of development."

"The competitiveness that BNBU brings to me is undoubtedly English proficiency. In fact, the degree itself is just a stepping stone, and BNBU has reached the threshold of many large companies. Many senior students are admitted by Tencent, Procter & Gamble, Ali and the big four accounting firms. But when a degree can reach the ability to get a key to the success, it depends on an individual's hard power. Personally, my English level has improved a lot during the four years of learning. My good English level helped me directly get the offer from Philips, a foreign company. Compared with other candidates, my fluent oral English helped me to stand out quickly."

"The whole person education in BNBU has always encouraged us to develop in an all-round way. In addition to the normal courses, we have enough time to participate in extracurricular activities, such as internships, international volunteers, overseas studies, etc. MHR's internship class encourages us to enter the real workplace society during campus, and provides a good platform for us to summarize our performance and share our experience. Last summer vacation, I worked as a medical headhunting intern in Kerui international company for three months. Headhunting is equivalent to a bridge between enterprises and candidates, it not only helped customer enterprises recruit suitable high-end talents for interview, but also provided opportunities for promotion and salary increase for talents in these industries. In this internship, I could have the opportunity to apply the professional knowledge to my work, such as recruitment skills, labor law, salary system and so on. At the same time, my communication ability, analysis and matching ability, negotiation ability and anti pressure have been well trained and improved.

BNBU provides us with many chances to participate in overseas activities. I once participated in the Thai volunteer trip organized by BNBU and volunteered for one month at the father ray foundation in Pattaya. Led by the school teachers, a team of ten people was formed to implement and publicize the activities of each institution. The whole process exercised our team cooperation ability and leadership, and the experience of the activities also expanded our perspective.

BNBU is a big platform providing freedom and opportunities. We have enough space to play and improve our skills. MHR welcomes you to join us!"

Finally, I chose to study in the Master program of Human Resource Management and Labor Relations in University of Toronto. Independent learning and acceptance of loss are my biggest gains during the undergraduate period. Compared with waiting for the professor's explanation, I actively sought for academic resources and discovered the internal connections between disciplines, which enabled me to have a deeper understanding of my major and played a crucial role in my master's study. The group projects the different teaching methods of professors enabled me to better deal with social relations and overcome difficulties before entering the society. In the face of force majeure and changeable interpersonal relationships, I learned to accept loss and have the courage to face new challenges."

"Teachers of Management of Human Resources encouraged students to actively participate in and applied their knowledge in the class. Through four years of study and training, dialectical thinking is deeply rooted in my mind. In addition to studying professional courses, I had the opportunity to contact the elective courses I was interested in, which not only expanded my horizons but also made me see more possibilities in the future.

Besides learning the basics of the textbook, the help of case analysis and display also made me gain a lot of experience. Such public display skills enable me to express myself more calmly and confidently in any case. In summary, BNBU's all-English teaching model has given me a lot of valuable opportunities to practice speaking and writing. In this way, it not only laid a solid foundation for my language achievement test but also made me stand out in the interview of well-known foreign enterprises and obtain internship opportunities. At the same time, the opinions and help given by all teachers are valuable wealth on my way to apply for research."

"It can be said that if I had not studied in BNBU, I would not be what I am today. BNBU advocates liberal education and whole-person education. The biggest gain for me is that it taught me a very important life lesson, that is, don't set limits on yourself easily. If you decide to do something, don't question whether you can do it, just go for it. Therefore, these years of experience in BNBU gave me courage and confidence and I applied for the PhD. On the one hand, it taught me to be brave enough to pursue what I wanted to do. On the other hand, it benefits from the curriculum of human resource Management. Our major is not only related to human resources, but also other courses related to business management, such as accounting, finance, marketing and so on. This allowed me to choose more majors when applying for graduate and doctoral degrees. Welcome to apply for BNBU and human resource management!"

"During BNBU, I learned not only the knowledge in books, but also the positive attitude and flexible way of thinking towards learning, work and life. Four years of college life let me know that there is more than one way to achieve my goal. What I have to do is to explore the law of things' development, so as to find the most suitable way for myself. BNBU education is like this. The coexistence of equality, fairness and diversity not only cultivates students' team spirit, but also provides enough space and platform for students to get personalized development. Whole person education enables students to develop in many aspects, and the judgment of grades does not only rely on written examinations or tests, presentation, case studies and various internship experiences, which enable BNBU students to grow into talents who can adapt to the school and society at the same time. The four years in BNBU are no easier than those in senior three, and they bear no less pressure than those in senior high school. Learning from morning to night every day sometimes makes them out of breath, especially in the first few months of freshman year. However, after adapting to such an educational environment and model, we will deeply realize that what we learn in BNBU is much more practical than the courses of many other domestic colleges and universities. After going to the UK, I was even more surprised to find that many of my undergraduate knowledge coincided with the courses offered by foreign master's students. From this, we can also see BNBU's determination in cultivating talents. I also know many junior partners in the MHR collective. The degree of collective unity is far beyond my imagination. We help each other and work hard for our dreams. It is this campus atmosphere that has created BNBU people's character of honesty, tenacity, unity and mutual assistance."
