During these four years in BNBU, I had many unforgettable experiences and met many teachers who had a far-reaching impact on me. They can not only answer our questions but also provide guidance for our future planning. Under their influence, I have gradually strengthened my idea of returning to BNBU and becoming a teacher in the future. Therefore, in the year of preparing for the Ph.D. application, I did not hesitate to return to BNBU as an assistant instructor. Joining the BNBU with a new identity and firmly pursuing my academic ideal is inseparable from the cultivation by BNBU in these four years. Here, we can also get full growth and have the opportunity to compete with the world's top students in the future. I also hope that in the future, I can convey this concept of Grow with BNBU to my future generations, so that every student who graduated from BNBU will become a dazzling star in their journey of life.

Looking back on my undergraduate years in Finance at BNBU, I feel deeply grateful for the experience and growth I gained there. At BNBU, I not only built a solid academic foundation, but also gradually developed a strong interest in pursuing further academic study, which led me to continue my education in the Master’s program in Chinese Economic and Political Affairs at the University of California, San Diego. Throughout this journey, I am especially thankful for the support and guidance of my undergraduate teachers. Their help benefited me greatly and laid an important foundation for my later PhD applications. BNBU’s interdisciplinary training also enabled me to understand research questions from multiple perspectives and better highlight my own strengths. I am now about to begin my PhD studies at Nanyang Technological University. In the future, I want to continue pursuing the topics I truly care about with dedication. At the same time, I also wish all younger peers the very best in continuously exploring the fields they truly aspire to and love, making good use of the resources offered by the University, and constantly improving themselves.

As an accomplished graduate of UIC, I am deeply thankful for the transformative experience of the past four years. UIC's English learning environment provided not only academic support but also opportunities for me to showcase my abilities through various group projects, nurturing my leadership and communication skills and bolstering my confidence for future endeavors.

Reflecting upon my years of studying at UIC, I am deeply grateful for the unique experience and valuable development UIC have provided me. Unlike the class-based management in many mainland Chinese universities, UIC and its teachers grant us more freedom, but it also means we need to take responsibility for our choices and learn to make decisions. UIC is a unique institution of higher education offering a diverse educational experience. My major is finance, including investment management, corporate finance, options and futures market, applied econometrics and other required courses. I am also free to take elective courses in other disciplines. I chose the combination of mathematics and computer courses, so that I could further study the knowledge of finance, science and engineering, and lay a solid foundation for my future development. In addition, through the education method of cooperating with different types of team members to complete tasks, I also continuously improve my communication, cooperation and leadership skills. At the same time, UIC also provides various activities, such as students society activities, high table dinner, movie screening, etc., so that I can develop myself more comprehensively and enjoy the fun of life. Most importantly, I made many new friends and teachers, who taught me how to get along with others. I think these experiences will be valuable assets for my future.

I’m a graduate of the Class of 18 majoring in Financial. Nowadays, I’m studying at University College London, and I’m very grateful for the whole-person education, the mentors, and the like-minded friends I met during the four years, which allowed me to explore my hobbies, academic knowledge, and career path in a positive and inclusive atmosphere. I am even more grateful to my Alma Mater for giving me one ladder after another to reach higher and higher, allowing me to grow and improve my abilities so that I can have the opportunity to stand on a bigger platform.

In the past four years, although sometimes the curriculum arrangement is not easy, the students can always have fun: Make an appointment with good friends to go to the library for self-study; Collision of inspiration with group members in the gap of intense review; Look at the beautiful sunset in the evening; After the study, take a walk on campus, call our parents and friends and have a chat, etc.

Compared with a single professional education, the cultivation of our soft quality in universities is often the highlight of ourselves in the competitive environment in the future. The vision of internationalization sounds like a very ethereal word, but it has really and profoundly affected our worldviews. The school's curriculum, the cultivation of multiple modules, and various summer opportunities also provide us with more diversified ways to expand knowledge and make us better adapt to the life of studying abroad. Learning how to learn is often much more important than learning itself.

I am very grateful that UIC has enough tolerance so that I can contact some knowledge outside my major and let me develop my own way according to my own interests.

From time to time, people will ask, how does UIC compare with some 985 and 211 universities? I said that our educational quality, teachers, resources, and supporting facilities are no worse than these two types of universities in all aspects.

Of course, the most distinctive feature of UIC is liberal arts education, in addition to all English teaching and the curriculum in Hong Kong. Liberal arts education pays more attention to the all-around development of students, so that students are better at opening up ideas, know better how to cooperate with others, and have more courage to face adversity and overcome difficulties.

I have the opportunity to try new things, to discover, and to achieve many impossible things. The framework of UIC's Whole Person Education allows me to learn in many fields that I am interested in but have not touched. It also allows me to challenge myself, step out of my comfort zone, and exert my unimagined abilities.

The four years of studying finance at UIC gave me a deep understanding of the practical application of finance. After getting a bachelor's degree and gaining solid financial knowledge and skills, I am able to adapt to business guidance in the future. The business strategy combined with relationship orientation is confident to create a transparent, inclusive, and communicative rather than purely profitable company organization.

Four years of studying at UIC not only benefited me a lot in academic terms but also gave me core competitiveness in social work in the future.

At the same time, UIC's international teaching and the concept of Whole Person Education have broadened my horizons and improved my critical thinking.

UIC's English teaching environment provides an opportunity to practice and improve English and it is rare in normal universities. UIC is a school that advocates liberal arts education. During the four-year undergraduate study, the school provides me with a variety of free elective courses to choose from, giving me the opportunity to dabble in more knowledge outside my major, such as literature, film, game theory, and so on. UIC is also a school focusing on whole-person education. The school has opened several courses that can not only exercise my mind but also cultivate my team spirit. At the same time, the summer international exchange course also gives me the opportunity to broaden my horizons. Through the short-term summer project, I can not only feel the foreign culture but also find the direction of postgraduate study in the future. It is a choice to kill two birds with one stone.

UIC has many excellent professors. Contact them more, ask more questions and make full use of learning resources will benefit a lot. I encourage you to participate in the school's different activities, which can not only accumulate experience but also adjust the tense learning atmosphere.
