Achieving Great Success: Two Teams in BNBU Win Multiple Awards at the CGMA Global Business Challenge

On May 28, 2026, the CGMA Global Business Challenge (GBC) Mainland China Finals successfully concluded at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. The Triple A team, comprising Accounting students—Shen Yihan, Ni Yahan, Zhu Qianhui, and Jiang Xinyi—stood out among over a hundred top teams nationwide. With their solid professional expertise, exceptional teamwork, and advanced AI application capabilities, they secured second place in the national finals and earned the prestigious Best AI Application Award. Similarly, the Pulse team, consisting of Accounting students Lu Haorong, Zhang Ruizhe, Lu Yiwei, and Luo Ziyin, delivered an equally remarkable performance, earning the Semifinal Award in Mainland China. Both teams shone brightly, continuing BNBU students' proud tradition of excellence on the GBC stage!

This year’s competition focuses on real-world business scenarios, with an emphasis on assessing AI applications. Participants are required to integrate skills such as financial analysis, strategic planning, and big data modeling to solve complex business challenges. Teams Triple A and Pulse demonstrated exceptional professionalism and innovative thinking on the competition stage: their case presentations were logically structured and rigorously framed, their AI models were applied with precision and efficiency, and their solutions combined theoretical depth with practical value. These performances fully showcased the business acumen and global vision of BNBU students.

Behind the exceptional achievements lies the unwavering dedication of each team member and the robust support and meticulous guidance from the DAcc and FBM. Throughout the preparation period, the department offered comprehensive resource assurance and professional guidance. Dr. Brian Lam, Dr. Meng He, and Dr. Wing Sun Li as well as Mr. Donald Chan, frequently engaged in discussions with the team members about strategies, from strategic framework and model optimization to logical organization and presentation. Every detail was polished to perfection, ensuring a steady progression for the teams.

From first participating in 2025 and advancing to the North Asia Finals, to 2026 with two teams competing and returning with numerous honors, BNBU Accounting students have consistently excelled in the top-tier GBC competitions for two consecutive years, proving the excellence and international competitiveness of BNBU's business education. We look forward to all participating students striving for greater success and more BNBU students reaching new heights and achieving new glories!
